Stage 10

Stage 10 of the Monmouthshire Way heads south east from the historic town of Usk. The route follows undulating terrain through steeply sided valleys to eventually climb out of the Usk Valley into the ancient forest of Wentwood. The route heads east through the foresty to reach the Foresters Oaks from where the Monmouthshire Way climbs to the fine summit of Gray Hill. Here views towards the Severn Estuary and England beyond will be enjoyed. The route descends to the village of Llanvair Discoed and heads south to reach the A48.
